How to Add and Create Webmixes


Adding and creating Webmixes in Symbaloo is easy and helps you organize your online resources effectively. Follow these steps:

🔹 Steps to Add a New Webmix

  1. Log in to Symbaloo

    • Go to Symbaloo and sign in to your account.

  2. Click the “+” (Add Webmix) Button

    • Find the “+” icon in the top navigation bar or Webmix carousel and click it.

  3. Choose a Webmix Option

    • Create New: Start with a blank Webmix.

    • Search Webmixes: Browse public Webmixes created by others and add one that inspires you. 

  4. Name Your Webmix

    • Enter a clear, descriptive name (e.g., “Project Tools” or “Vacation Planning”).

  5. Set Privacy Settings

    • Decide whether your Webmix will be private (just for you) or public (shareable with anyone). 

  6. Customize the Webmix Layout

    • Click on empty tiles to add links to websites, tools, files, or widgets.

  7. Save the Webmix

    • Your Webmix will automatically appear in the top carousel for easy access. 


🔹 Steps to Create & Customize Tiles

  1. Add Tiles

    • Click on an empty tile and select “Create a Tile.”

    • Paste the URL or link you want the tile to open.

    • Customize the tile’s appearance with color, icon, and text. 

  2. Organize Tiles

    • Use drag-and-drop to rearrange tiles for better flow.

    • Change the Tile's size

    • Group related tiles together for visual organization. ()

    • Change a Tile's shape (3 different Options)

  3. Add Widgets (Optional)

    • Enhance your Webmix with live widgets like RSS feeds, weather, or embedded videos. 

  4. Customize Background

    • Choose a background color or image that matches your Webmix theme.


🔹 How to Share Your Webmix

  1. Public Sharing

    • Set your Webmix to public and use the shareable URL or embed code.

    • Great for sharing educational links, project resources, or portfolios.

  2. Private Sharing

    • Keep your Webmix private, then share the link directly with specific people (they’ll need a Symbaloo account).
