🔗 How to Share Your Webmix with the New Sharing Menu in Symbaloo

Symbaloo has introduced a new, intuitive sharing menu that gives users more control and flexibility when sharing their Webmixes. In this guide, we’ll walk you through each step to ensure you can confidently share your Webmix using the most common method: sharing with a link.

✅ Step 1: Check if Your Webmix is Shareable

Before sharing, make sure your Webmix isn’t locked.

If the Webmix is locked, you’ll see a small 🔒 lock icon next to the Share button.
Locked Webmixes cannot be shared. You’ll need to unlock it first to proceed.

📤 Step 2: Click the “Share” Button

Locate the Share button at the top right of your Webmix.

Click it to open the new sharing menu.

📍 The new menu will open on the left side of your screen.

🛠️ Step 3: Choose How to Share

You’ll see four main options in the sharing menu:

Share Webmix
Share your Webmix privately or in the Symbaloo Library.

Publish to Webspace
Publish the Webmix to your Symbaloo Webspace (for Webspaces subscribers).
Embed Webmix

Embed Webmix
Embed your Webmix on a website, blog, or page.

Collaborate
Invite others to collaborate and work on the Webmix together.

📎 Step 4: Select “Share Webmix”

For this example, we’ll use the first option: Share Webmix.

Click it to open sharing settings.

🔐 Step 5: Click on “Private Webmix”

By default, the menu will display:

Private Webmix – Only you can access this Webmix.

Click this option to proceed.

🌍 Step 6: Choose a Sharing Method

You’ll now see two options:

Share Webmix Publicly
Adds your Webmix to the Symbaloo Library for public access.

Share with Link
Only people with your unique private link can access the Webmix.

✅ For this tutorial, choose “Share with Link”, the most frequent method for free users.

🎉 Step 7: Confirmation Message

After selecting Share with Link, a confirmation will appear at the bottom:

Success! Your Webmix is open for sharing. Share your private link with others!

You’ll also see multiple sharing options:

Email
Embed
Facebook
QR Code
X (formerly Twitter)

…and more.

🔗 Step 8: Copy Your Sharing URL

Below the sharing options, you’ll see a URL box.

Click the “Copy” button next to the URL.
Now you’re ready to share your Webmix anywhere!

⚠️ IMPORTANT: Always use this copied URL when sharing your Webmix.
Do not use the browser’s address bar URL — it’s linked to your local cookies and will not work on other devices.

⚠️ IMPORTANT TIP:

Whenever you make changes to a Webmix, update and re-publish it. This ensures that anyone accessing your Webmix through your Webspace always sees the latest version of your resources.
