Step 1: Define the Topic
The first step in creating a Learning Path is choosing a central topic.
Step 2: Search for and Select Content
Look for relevant content that you want to include in your Learning Path. In this example.
Step 3: Document the Learning Process
Before you start building the Learning Path, create a document in Google Forms where you:
• Explain the topic of the Learning Path.
• Detail the content included.
• Define the learning objective for students.
Step 4: Create a New Learning Path in Symbaloo
1. Log in to Symbaloo and create a new Webmix.
2. Select the Blank Webmix option.
3. The left-side menu will open automatically.
4. Click on “Learning Paths *New”.
5. Click on ”+ Create a Learning Path”.
6. Delete the default central tile.
Step 5: Add Content to the Learning Path
• Add the Google Forms document as the first tile.
• Add the YouTube links, one by one, ensuring they can be embedded.
• Continue until all Tiles are added.
• 10 Tiles with videos (Example)
• 1 additional Tile with the Google Form (Instructions).
Step 6: Set Up Activities
First Tile (Instructions)
1. Right-click on the first tile (Google Forms) and select “Edit Activity”.
2. Under “Activity Type”, choose “Instructions”.
3. In “Activity”, enter the title: (Example) Learning Path: March, Women’s History Month.
4. In “Activity Description”, add a brief summary of the activity.
Add Activities to the Other Tiles
1. Click on the book icon (located in the top left, under the Symbaloo logo). This will display tiles labeled “No Activity”.
2. Select a tile without an activity and click on ”+ Add Activity”.
3. Configure the activity using the following steps:
• Activity Type: Choose between “Multiple Choice,” “Multiple Response,” or “Open Response”.
• Activity: Write the question.
• Activity Description: Provide instructions such as “Choose one answer”.
• Response Options: Add the correct answer and three incorrect answers.
4. To save, select the next tile in the left-side menu and repeat the process.
Step 7: Complete the Learning Path
Follow the same process for all Tiles until each one has an assigned activity. Once finished, review the Learning Path and adjust it as needed.
